There are a few things they’ve passed down to me are the importance of a human relationship, the power of a pencil, and a passion for your craft.
In today’s technology race, we’re trying to automate everything to save time. This is where we lose the connection, the ability to learn from the new people that we encounter and ultimately fail at building a community.
I believe in the hand written notes, the phone calls, and the little extra communication.

All of our lettering is first drawn by hand. This is the way Alva Cobler did it in the 1920s and we believe in working without restrictions of a computer program.
Once the letters are where we want them, we use the computer as a tool to kern and clean up the shapes.
